Itinerary FOR: 5 days from marrakech to merzouga

Day 1: MARRAKECH – High atlas mountains – DADES GORGES:

In the morning, you will be picked up from the airport or accommodations in Marrakech then drive toward the High Atlas Mountains admiring the fascinating landscpaes along the way. We will stop at Tizi N Tichka pass (2260m). Continuing through the Berber villages along the way. Arriving at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO world heritage site where many movies have been filmed like Gladiator. Following that, pass through the breathtaking oasis of Skoura where you will visit Ameridil Kasbah, one of the ancient kasbahs in the region.

Then continue toward Dades Gorges. Stopping at Kalaat M’gouna known as the Rose city where you’ll visit a local cooperative for cosmetic products. Late afternoon. Arrive in Dades gorges where you will visit the rock formation known as Monkey Fingers then take you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the first night of your 5 days from Marrakech to Merzouga desert.

Day 2: Dades gorges – Todra Gorges – MERZOUGA DESERT:

After breakfast at your accommodation in Dades Gorges, We’ll head toward Merzouga desert enjoying the finest landscapes along the way. Stopping at Todra Gorges, one of the heighest and narrowest gorges in Morocco, walk theough the gorges. After lunch, continue toward Merzouga desert passing through Jorf and Melaab where you’ll get to try Berber weeding dress. Following that, we’ll pass through Arfoud known as ” The Date Capital” explore a fossil museum in the city before continuing to the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Arriving in Merzouga desert where you’ll enjoy a camel ride through the dunes of Merzouga. Day 3: Merzouga FULL DAY TOUR:

Wake up early morning for a marvelous sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga. After that, start your sightseeing tour of Merzouga by visiting Merzouga villages including tanamoust, khamlia where you’ll meet an African group for Gnwa music. After lunch, we’ll take you to hassi lbeid oasis and then enjoy some free time for sandboarding, buggy or quads, if interested. Then we’ll transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.

Day 4: Merzouga desert- RISSANI -OUARZAZATE:

In the morning, we’ll depart toward Rissani, one of the ancient cities of Morocco where you’ll visit Moulay Ali Cherif Mausoleum. After that, stroll through the lively souks of Rissani then continue toward Ouarzazate passing through Nkob, known as the kingdom of Kasbahs. After lunch, continue through Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest Valley where you’ll stop to take some photographs. Afterward, we’ll pass through Agdez where you’ll have the chance to enjoy a fantastic panorama over the Valley of Draa then proceed with your 5 day from Marrakech to Merzouga desert passing via Ait Souen route. After breakfast at your riad in Ouarzazate. We’ll then visit Taourirt kasbah, one of the oldest kasbah in Ouarzazate then continue to the Film Studio of Ouarzazate. Following that, drive through the High Atlas Mounatins, admiring the lovely sceneries along the way. stop at Tizi N Tichka pass (2260 meters) where you’ll enjoy a panoramic view over the High Atlas Mountains. After that, contine your trip toward Marrakech. Arriving in Marrakech then transfer to the airport or your accommodation concluding your trip with amazing memories.
