Itinerary for: 8 day Morocco Tour from Tangier to Marrakech:

Day 1: Arrival in Tangier – Drive to Chefchaouen:

Upon arrival at the airport or the port in Tangier, our driver will welcome you and then start your sightseeing tour of Tangier. We’ll first visit Hercules caves, Cape Spartel and ancient old Medina of Tangier, walk through its lovely streets and explore the old kasbah. After that, proceed to Chefchaouen, admiring the lovely landscapes along the route.

Arriving in Akchour waterfall, enjoy a walk through the river’s natural wonders. Following that, cross the Riff Mountains amiring the breathtaking sceneries along the way. Upon arrival in Chefchouen, Morocco’s Blue city, enjoy a tour of the city, visit the old Medina and explroe the Spanish Mosque. Afterward, we’ll take you to Uta El Hammam sequare where you’ll watch some activities including snake charmers, musicians and stortellers before taking you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the first night of your 8 day Morocco tour from Tangier to Marrakech.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

In the morning, We’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Chefchaouen and head toward Fes, one of Morocco’s ancient Imperial cities, enjoy the finest sceneries along the way. We’ll stop at Volubilis, best preserved Roman ruins in north Africa and UNESCO world heritage site. Enjoy a guided tour of this historic sites. Following that, we’ll proceed to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities where you’ll visit Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the founder of the city and Bab Mansour. Afterward, explore Heri Es Souani before heading to Fes where you’ll spend the night.

Day 3: Fes Sightseeing

After breakfast at your accommodation in Fes. We will start your sightseeing tour of the city by visiting the old Medina of Fes, walk through its narrow alleyways and visit Al Qaraouine university, world’s oldest university and UNESCO world heritage site. Following that, head to Tanneries where animal leather is used to make clothes, bags, shoes…etc. Afterwards, we’ll explore Attarine and Bouaanania Madrasa, some of the oldest schools in Morocco. After lunch at a local restaurant in the old Medina. We’ll continue your tour to visit Batha Museum and Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, the founder of the city. Late afternoon, we will head to the southern tower, where you’ll see the whole Medina of Fes before taking you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz avalley – Erfoud – Merzouga – Camle ride and night in a camp

In the morning, we will depart toward the Sahara desert of Merzouga, passing through Ifrane, Morocco’s little switzerland where you’ll visit the Atlas lion before continuing through the Cedar Forest of Azrou, Morocco’s largest forest. We’ll stop to take some photographs with the Barbary Monkeys. After that, proceed toward Midelt, known as the Apple Capital, where you’ll stop for lunch. After that, pass through Tizi N Talghamt pass where you’ll stop to take some photographs over the majestic Atlas Mountains. Late afternoon, we arrive in Aoufous where you’ll see the largest oasis in Morocco then continue to Arfoud known as ” The Date Capital”. We will visit a fossil museum in the city before heading o Merzouga desert.

Arriving in Merzouga desert, meet your camel guide and set off on a camel ride adventure across the dunes of Merzouga enjoying the lovely sceneries along the way. We’ll stop for a breathtaking sunset over the dunes of Merzouga before continuing to your desert camp where you’ll spend the night with a drumming party around the campfire.

Day 5: Merzouga – Toudgha Gorges – Dades valley:

Wake up early morning for a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga. Then return to the camp for a hearty breakfast, we’ll then continue your 8 day Morocco tour from Tangier to Marrakech by passing through the black desert to arrive in Rissani, one of  the ancient cities of Rissani. We’ll stroll through the vibrant souks of Rssani.

After that, cross the palm groves of Tafilalet passing through Jorf and Tinjdad where you’ll stop for lunch. Afterward, proceed to Todra Gorges, passing through the lovely oasis of Tinghir. Upon arrival at Todra Gorges, enjoy a guided tour through the gorges then continue through the red Mountains. Late afternoon, we arrive in Dades Gorges where you’ll visit the rock formation known as ”Monkey Fingers” then transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night in Dades Valley.

Day 6: Dades valley – Roses valley – Ait Ben Haddou kasbah – Marrakech

In the morning, depart toward Marrakech passing through Kalaat M’gouna, known as the rose city where you’ll visit a local cooperative for rose cosmetic products. After that, pass through the rose valley taking the road of 1000 kasbabs. We’ll stop Ameridil kasbah, one of the oldest kasbahs in the regions. Afterward, continue through the oasis of Skoura. Arriving in Ouarzazate where you’ll visit Taourirt kasbah and Film Studio of Ouarzazate. After lunch, head to Marrakech passing via Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village and UNESCO world heritage site where many movies have been filmed like Gladiator, Game of Thrones and The Mummy.

Late afternoon, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains. Stopping at Tizi N Tichka pass (2260m). Then continue to Marrakech, dropping you off at your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.  

Day 7:Marrakech Sightseeing

After breakfast at your riad in Marrakech, you’ll meet your local tour guide of Marrakech. Set off on tour of the city, we’ll visit Saadian Tombs, Badi Palace and Majorelle garden, a lovely garden with variety of plants including cactus, bombo and palm trees. After that, we’ll visit mena garden then take you to the old Medina of Marrakech, walk through its vibrant souks including souk Semmarine and Souk Sekkakine. After that, we’ll head to the New Town of Marrakech known as Gulez. Then, head to Koutoubia Mosque, second largest mosque in Morocco then head to Dejamaa Lfena sequare where you’ll watch some lovely activities including snake charmers, musicians, and storytellers then transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the last night of your 8 day Morocco tour from Tangier to Marrakech.

Day 8:Transfer to the airport

After breakfast at your accommodation in Marrakech and depending on your flight time, our driver will transfer you to the airport in Marrakech concluding your trip with amazing memories.
