Itinerary FOR: 8 days morocco itinerary
Day 1: ARRIVAL IN MARRAKECH:
Upon arrival in Marrakech, our driver will warmly welcome you then tranfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the first night of your 8 days in Morocco.
Day 2: Marrakech full day sightseeing:
In the morning, you’ll meet your local guide of Marrakech. Set off on a guided tour of the red city of Marrakech. We’ll start with a visit to the Saadian Tombs, an ancient historic monument in Marrakech dating back to 16 Century. Following that, visit Badi Palace and Majorelle Garden, a wonderful garden with lovely plants and trees offering a great opportunity for visitors to enjoy its fascinating atmosphere.
After that, walk through the lively narrow streets of the old Medina of Marrakech, visit Semmarine and Sekkakine market before taking you to explore Koutoubia mosque second largest mosque in Morocco. Following that, you’ll be taken to Madrasa Ben Youssef, one of the ancient Koranic Schools in Marrakech. After that, head to Djamaa Lfena sequare where you will watch some activities including snake charmers, musicians, and storytellers before taking you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the second night of your 8 days in Morocco itinerary.
Day 3: Marrakech – OUARZAZATE – Dades Gorges
In the morning, you’ll journey through the High Atlas Mountains on a scenic drive from Marrakech to Dades Gorges. You’ll cross the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass with lovely panoramic views. Along the way, visit a traditional Argan oil cooperative and explore the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a historic site where many movies have been filmed like Gladiator, Game of Thrones and Mummy.
Continue to Ouarzazate, “Hollywood of Africa,” with optional stops at Taourirt Kasbah and Atlas Film Studios. Following that, continue through the oasis of Skoura and the Valley of Roses of Kalaat M’gouna where you’ll visit a local cooperative for rose cosmetic products. Then continue to Dades Gorges where you’ll explore the rock formation known as Moneky Fingers then take you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.
Day 4: DADES GORGES – TODRA GORGES – MERZOUGA DESERT
After breakfast at your accommodation in Dades Gorges, we’ll depart toward to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga admiring the breathtaking landscapes along the way. You’ll pass through Red Mountains arriving in Todra Gorges, walk through the gorges with your guide. Following that, continue toward Tinjdad and Melaab, where you’ll visit a Berber house try Berber weeding dress then continue to Merzouga desert passing through Arfoud, known as the Date Capital where you’ll visit a fossil museum. After that, proceed to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga where you’ll meet your camel guide and set off on a camel trip across the dunes of Merzouga. Stopping for a breathtaking sunset then continue to your desert camp where you’ll spend the night.
Day 5: MERZOUGA DESERT – midelt – Fes
Wake up for a wonderful sunrise over the beautiful dunes of Erg Chebbi. Then continue toward Fes proceeding through Ziz Valley. Stopping at a lovely panorama over Aoufous. After that, we’ll head to Fes enjoying the amazing landscapes along the way. We’ll pass through Tizi N Talghamt pass where you’ll have the opportunity to take some photographs over the middle Atlas Mountains. Arriving in Midelt, explore the city then continue toward Fes through the Cedar Forest of Azrou, Morocco’s largest Forest. Afterward, we’ll head to Ifrane, Morocco’s little Switzerland, where you will visit the Atlas Lion. Late afternoon,w e’ll proceed toward Immouzzar Kandar. Arriving in Fes then take you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.
Day 6: Fes Full day TOUR
In the morning, you will meet your local guide of Fes. Visit the old Medina of Fes,which is a UNESCO world heritage site, walk through the narrow streets of the old Medina, explore its lively streets. After that, visit Al Qaraouine university, world’s oldest university and UNESCO world heritage site. Following that, you’ll be taken to Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, the founder of the city and then visit Batha museum before taking to Attarine and Madrasa Bouaanania, one of the ancient schools in Fes. After that, we’ll take you borj nord where you’ll see the old Medina of Fes then transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.
Day 7: Fes – Meknes – CHEFCHAOUEN
In the morning after breakfast at your accommodation in Fes, depart toward Chefchaouen, Morocco’s blue city admiring the finest sceneries along the way. Stopping at Volubilis, the best preserved Roman ruins and UNESCO world heritage site, explore this archeological sites with a guide. After that, we’ll continue toward Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, one of the top villages in the world. Following that, proceed to Meknes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities where you’ll visit Bab Mansour Gate, Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, the founder of the city.
After that, we’ll take you to Heri Es Souani. After lunch in Meknes we will head to Chefchaouen, enjoying the incredible sceneries along the way. Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, enjoy a guided tour of Chefchaouen, visit the Spanish Mosque, and the old Medina of Chefchaouan, walk through its blue washed streets then transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll spend the last night of your 8 days in Morocco.
DAY 8: CHEFCHOUEN – RABAT – CASABLANCA – MARRAKECH
In the morning, you’ll be picked up from your accommodation in Chefchaouen and then head toward Marrakech, we’ll cross the Riff mountains, taking in the incredible landscapes along the way. Passing through Rabat, Morocco’s capital city where you’ll visit Hassan Tower, an un finished minaret in the heart of Rabat. Then visit Mausoleum of Mohamed V and Oudaya kasbah, one of the historic kasbahs in the region overlooking the Atlantic ocean. After lunch at a local resturant in Rabat. We’ll continue to Casablanca, Morocco’s largest Forest where you’ll visit Hassan II Mosque, Africa’second largest, accommodating up to 100,000 worshippers. Following that, explore Morocco mall, the largest shopping mall in Africa. After that, continue toward Marrakech arriving in Marrakech transfer to your accommodation or the airport in Marrakech.
