ITINERARY FOR: 12 DAYS TOUR FROM FES TO CASABLANCA
DAY 1: FES AIRPORT PICK-UP – ACCOMMODATION IN FES
Upon arrival at Fes Airport, you will be welcomed by your professional driver and transferred to your hotel or riad. The remainder of the day is dedicated to rest and acclimatization. You may choose to take a short walk around the neighborhood to absorb the first impressions of this historic imperial city before settling in for the evening.
DAY 2: GUIDED TOUR IN FES
After breakfast, you will meet your local guide for a comprehensive exploration of Fes.
Your discovery begins in Fes el-Bali, the ancient medina founded in 789 CE, recognized today as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enter through the iconic Bab Boujeloud gate and stroll along Talâa Kebira, where traditional markets and artisan workshops line the narrow streets. Observe the intricate Spanish and Andalusian influences reflected in the city’s architecture.
Visit the renowned Chouara Tannery to witness centuries-old leather-making techniques still practiced today. Continue to Fes el-Jdid, established in the 13th century, where you will admire the exquisite tilework of Al Attarine Madrasa. From the Mellah, the historic Jewish quarter, enjoy panoramic views of the medina and its layered rooftops.
If time permits, explore the Ville Nouvelle to appreciate the architectural contrast between traditional and modern Morocco. The day concludes with free time before returning to your accommodation.
DAY 3: FES – RIF MOUNTAINS – CHEFCHAOUEN
Today you depart Fes and travel through the scenic Rif Mountains toward Chefchaouen. The drive offers panoramic mountain views and charming rural landscapes.
Upon arrival in the Blue City, you will have time to explore its picturesque streets adorned with blue-painted buildings. Visit Rass el Ma, a peaceful spring where mountain water flows through traditional water mills—a serene gathering place for locals.
In the afternoon, consider walking up to the Spanish Mosque for breathtaking views of Chefchaouen and the surrounding Rif Mountains, especially at sunset. In the evening, enjoy the lively atmosphere of Outa el Hammam square, surrounded by traditional cafés and shops. Overnight in Chefchaouen.
DAY 4: CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – IFRANE – MIDELT
Depart Chefchaouen and head toward Volubilis, an ancient Roman settlement renowned for its remarkably preserved mosaics and monumental arches dating back to the 3rd century BCE. A guided visit will illuminate Morocco’s Roman legacy.

DAY 5: MIDELT – MIDDLE ATLAS MOUNTAINS – ZIZ VALLEY – SAHARA DESERT
Journey southward through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing Berber villages and rugged landscapes. The scenery gradually transforms as you enter the lush Ziz Valley, famous for its extensive palm groves and date production.
By late afternoon, arrival in Merzouga marks your entry into the Sahara region. After checking into your hotel, enjoy a traditional dinner accompanied by Berber music, embracing the tranquil ambiance of the desert night.
DAY 6: DESERT EXPLORATION – NOMADS – CAMEL TREKKING – OVERNIGHT CAMP
After breakfast, embark on a 4×4 excursion across the desert terrain. Visit an ancient kohl mine and meet nomadic families living in traditional woven tents, sharing tea and learning about their lifestyle.
Continue to Khamlia village, home to descendants of sub-Saharan communities known for their vibrant Gnawa music performances. After lunch and a walk through palm groves, return to your hotel to rest.
In the late afternoon, set out on a camel trek into the dunes of Erg Chebbi to witness a spectacular sunset. Upon arrival at your desert camp, settle into your comfortable tent equipped with private facilities. DAY 7: MERZOUGA – ARFOUD – TODGHA GORGES – DADES VALLEY
Rise early to witness the sunrise illuminating the dunes. After breakfast, return by camel to Merzouga and continue toward Dades Valley.
Stop in Arfoud to visit a fossil workshop before traveling through palm groves and rural settlements to Todgha Gorges. Explore the dramatic red limestone cliffs before continuing to Dades Valley. En route, admire the distinctive “Monkey Fingers” rock formations. Overnight in Dades Valley.
DAY 8: DADES GORGE – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – HIGH ATLAS – MARRAKECH
Travel through the Rose Valley and Skoura palm grove to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” Visit film studios and continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed ksar featured in numerous international productions.
After exploring this historic fortified village, cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stopping for photographs. Arrival in Marrakech and transfer to your accommodation.
DAY 9: EXPLORE MARRAKECH WITH LOCAL GUIDE
Dedicate the day to exploring Marrakech with a certified local guide. Visit Jemaa el-Fna square, Koutoubia Mosque (exterior), Saadian Tombs, and Bahia Palace. Wander through the vibrant medina and artisan souks.

Drive north along the Atlantic coastline toward Casablanca. Upon arrival, visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque, an architectural masterpiece partly built over the ocean, featuring intricate tilework and one of the tallest minarets in the world.

DAY 12: CASABLANCA – AIRPORT TRANSFER
On your final day, you will be transferred to Casablanca Airport according to your flight schedule.
