ITINERARY FOR: 7 DAY TOUR FROM CASABLANCA TO FES

DAY 1: WELCOME TO CASABLANCA

Upon arrival at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca, you will be warmly greeted and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a brief introduction to Morocco’s economic capital. The remainder of the day is dedicated to rest and preparation for the journey ahead. DAY 2: CASABLANCA – MARRAKECH

After breakfast, your exploration of Casablanca begins with a panoramic tour of the city. The highlight is the majestic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world and an architectural masterpiece overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Its intricate craftsmanship and monumental scale reflect Morocco’s artistic excellence.

You will also pass through key districts of the city, observing the contrast between modern boulevards and historic quarters. In the afternoon, departure toward Marrakech via the highway. Arrival in the “Red City” later in the day, followed by dinner and overnight accommodation in a riad or hotel.

DAY 3: GUIDED TOUR OF MARRAKECH

Today is dedicated to discovering Marrakech with an experienced local guide. Set against the backdrop of the snow-capped High Atlas Mountains, Marrakech has long served as a political, economic, and cultural capital of the Maghreb.

Your visit includes the Koutoubia Mosque and its elegant minaret, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the Ben Youssef Madrasa, renowned for its refined Islamic architecture. The Menara Gardens offer a peaceful retreat framed by olive groves.

In the afternoon, explore the legendary Jemaa el-Fna Square, a vibrant open-air theater where musicians, storytellers, artisans, and performers animate the city’s atmosphere. Evening at leisure to experience the square’s culinary delights. Overnight stay in Marrakech.

DAY 4: MARRAKECH – OUARZAZATE – DADES VALLEY

Departure at approximately 8:00 AM toward southern Morocco. The road ascends through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters, offering panoramic views of dramatic peaks and traditional Berber villages.

A visit to the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou follows. This fortified ksar is one of Morocco’s finest examples of earthen architecture and has served as a backdrop for numerous international films.

Continue to Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Gateway to the Desert,” where you may visit the historic Taourirt Kasbah. The journey proceeds along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs through Skoura and the Valley of Roses, eventually reaching the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight stay in Dades.

DAY 5: DADES GORGES – MERZOUGA DESERT

After breakfast, travel toward the Todra Valley and Todra Gorge, a spectacular canyon with towering limestone cliffs that attract climbers and nature enthusiasts alike. A walk through the gorge allows time to appreciate its immense scale and natural beauty.

After lunch, continue toward Merzouga and the vast dunes of Erg Chebbi. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with traditional mint tea before beginning your camel trek into the desert.

DAY 6: MERZOUGA – ERFOUD – ZIZ VALLEY – FES

The journey northward begins with a visit to Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalet. If the day coincides with the weekly souk (Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday), you will experience the vibrant traditional market.

Continue along the Ziz Valley, renowned for its expansive palm groves and dramatic river landscapes. After an optional lunch in Midelt, the road ascends into the Middle Atlas Mountains.

Stop in the cedar forest near Azrou, home to the Barbary macaques, before continuing to Ifrane, known for its alpine architecture and cool climate. Arrival in Fes in the late afternoon. Overnight stay in a traditional riad.

DAY 7: GUIDED TOUR OF FES – AIRPORT TRANSFER

After breakfast, a local guide will accompany you on a comprehensive exploration of Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and intellectual heart.

You will visit Fes el-Bali, one of the world’s oldest and largest medinas, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights include the Al-Qarawiyyin University, the Bou Inania and Al-Attarine Madrasas, the Nejjarine Fountain, and the historic tanneries.

The tour continues through specialized souks, where artisans practice centuries-old crafts. You will also visit the Royal Palace gates and panoramic viewpoints overlooking the medina.
