 ITINERARY FOR: 3 DAYS TOUR FROM ERRACHIDIA TO MARRAKECH

 DAY 1: ERRACHIDIA – ZIZ VALLEY – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA DESERT

Your journey begins at 9:00 a.m., when your driver-guide will collect you from your hotel in Errachidia. From there, the adventure toward Marrakech unfolds through some of Morocco’s most captivating landscapes.

The first highlight of the day is a stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the magnificent Ziz Valley. This vast oasis corridor, fed by the Ziz River, stretches across arid terrain and creates a striking contrast between desert plateaus and vibrant palm groves.

The drive continues southward through Aoufous and onward to Erfoud, a town renowned for its fossil workshops and annual date festival. Should you wish, you may visit a local fossil artisan workshop to observe how prehistoric marine fossils are transformed into decorative stone pieces.

By late afternoon, you will arrive at the dunes of Erg Chebbi, also known as the Merzouga Dunes. The journey continues toward Rissani, the historical cradle of the Alaouite dynasty. If your visit coincides with one of the market days (Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday), you will explore its lively souk, where traders sell spices, textiles, livestock, and handcrafted goods.

From there, the route passes through traditional Berber villages such as Touroug, Tinjdad, and Tinghir. A stop will be made in the lush Todra Valley, where palm groves flourish beneath the imposing High Atlas Mountains.
